Grunty McNunty

This is one of the nicknames we have for Josiah, but are using much less lately, as he is getting less grunty the older he gets. Some of his other pseudonyms include: Joe, Joe Bob, petit homme (little man), coeur (heart), puce (bug), Yaya, Baby Yaya, munchkin, little burrito, squirmy wormy, and petit frere (little brother).

Two Months

Josiah received two shots today and will get one shot a week for the next three weeks so that he'll be up to date on all of his immunizations. He did very well, only screamed in pain for a minute or so, and then Josiah fell right to sleep in the sling. He weighs a whopping 11 pounds 5 oz. and is 23.3 inches long. His head circumference is 15.5 inches. He is very average - 50th percentile for weight and head, 75th for height. The doctor said he is the picture of good health and is thriving. Josiah makes us so proud!

Bouncy Seat

There is a connection being made between Josiah's feet and the sounds he hears when they move. While he is sitting in the bouncy seat, if he kicks, music will play and lights will flash. Joe seems to be recognizing this even if only slightly and loves the lights and music. Eila is happy to help him out and turn on the vibrations and constant music - Josiah doesn't mind at all.

There's Nowhere Else I'd Rather Be...

... than in your arms, in your arms.

This 77s song could be Josiah's theme. He really enjoys being held and snuggled close. Josiah isn't too picky about who is holding him or how, just so long as he is able to get cozy. I don't mind at all. There's nowhere else I'd rather have him (most of the time) than in my arms.

First Halloween

For his first holiday, Josiah has handled the hustle and bustle pretty well, performing beautifully under the pressure. He enjoyed a Halloween party (Eeek-Prize) at Papa's work - he slept the entire time in the sling, with his head peeking out in a little pumpkin hat. If there had been a contest, I think he might've won even though you could only see his head. Josiah went out to a few house trick-or-treating (asleep in the sling again) with Eila and even got a bit of candy. He is one adorable little pumpkin!

The car ride back from Eeek-Prize wasn't as much fun as the party itself, as Joe was little hungry and more than a little upset. He cried the whole way and made such a ruckus that Eila had to cover her head with buddy to escape the noise...
