Do I know you?

If Josiah can answer yes to this question, expect lots of laughs and smiles as well as more than a few words when he sees you. Joe is a friendly kid! When he sees Brian, Eila, or myself, his little legs get kicking and moving so fast. He beams at us and I just can't help but give him a kiss in return. Sometimes, he gets so excited that he can move himself a little bit with the frantic up and down motion of his appendages. Everyday, he is further and further on his side in an effort to watch Eila or reach his pacifier - rolling over won't be long.

Josiah has really started to talk. He makes all kinds of noises. He really likes to talk while getting his diaper changed, but is happy to chat anytime he's lying around with someone to converse with. One of the sounds that he is better at is the sort of gurgling noise that is often associated with the French R sound. He also loves to make bubbles while attempting raspberries; Eila is great at encouraging this new trick. Josiah is a chatty little guy and has even tried to sing a song or two.

Woo Hoo

Hip, Hip, Hooray for flying through the air. Josiah loves to play "Airplane", riding on our bent legs soaring high above the ground. Jumping off a tummy or the floor or couch into the air is equally as fascinating. Even just standing upright (holding on to one finger in each hand) is worth a cheer or two. And, when Joe's big sister goes on the potty, she has been known to find him and help him cheer for her - moving his arms up and down and saying "woo hoo". Josiah is a good cheerleader and encourages the best in those around him already!

Josiah had his picture taken yesterday at JCPenney's and he did really well. He smiled so big and even giggled a little, for the first 2 minutes. Then, Joe had had enough and decided he'd rather be held and cuddled, so that was the end of the photo session. The first two pictures were worth the trip out in the snow though.
