« Sitting Up | Main | To Eat or Not To Eat »

6 Months

It's hard to believe that little baby Joe is already 1/2 way through his first year. He is now weighing in at 15 pounds, 6 oz. and is 27 inches long. That puts him at 25th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height - tall and skinny. He is doing exceptionally well at sitting these days and loves to play with any toy he can reach. He especially enjoys shaking objects, but occasionally hits himself in the face. Jumping and flying through the air are also favorite pastimes. Josiah fully appreciates individual attention and will flash his bright smile and maybe sing a song or two to anyone who engages him. He is sleeping pretty well these days, only waking once during the night and taking a pretty good nap each afternoon (with some cat naps in the morning and evening). His hands are very busy and he has now earned the title of "grabby hands". He prefers grabbing glasses of water and plates of food to just about everything else. Maybe one day soon, he'll get to eat some real food...
